Meet Dr. Narinder Dhaliwal
CONSULTING , PARENT COACHING
Narinder K. Dhaliwal, PhD
I have 20 years of experience in research, assessment, and education, studying the arc of child development.
I have three children, all of whom were born premature, so I have tacit knowledge of childhood interventions and how to successfully help children acquire skills and knowledge utilizing positive behaviors to communicate.
What experience inspired further studies into the field of behaviorism and autism?
I began my career as a research assistant and field evaluator in the Department of Behavioral Pediatrics at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. Assessing neurotypical children made it clear that no two children grow, develop, and learn the same way. Therefore, individualized intervention delivered early and intensively is necessary to acquire skills.
Research focus: autism, higher education outcomes for students with autism, increasing access to learning, social connectivity with peers, communication, behavior support, nutrition/diet, ABA principles
